Basic types of purification catalysts

Chemical purification catalysts can be divided into homogeneous catalysis and heterogeneous catalysis, and catalysts should also have corresponding types. Although this difference does not reflect the nature and internal connection of the purified catalyst, it is very practical and convenient.

Purification catalyst

The catalysts of homogeneous catalytic system mainly include two types of acid-base catalysts, including Lewis acid and base and soluble transition metal compound (salt and complex) catalysts. In addition, there are some non-metallic molecular catalysts, such as I2, no, etc. Homogeneous catalysts function independently at the molecular or ionic level. The nature of the active center is relatively uniform, and it is easier to temporarily combine with reactants. It is also less complex, so many homogeneous catalytic reaction kinetics and mechanisms have been studied more clearly.
